That’s easy. We have a jam-packed recreation program here that is sure to keep the kiddies happy! Jeanette our Recreation Coordinator has an amazing summer planned.

As you may already know, Liscombe Lodge is a summer family resort that offers many fun activities for all ages. In addition to our outdoor activities, we have a recreation center dedicated to fun for the children.
Our marina has a Pontoon boat that goes out for daily cruises, kayaks, canoes, a paddle boat, and a few more surprises! We have an outdoor shuffleboard, chess board, basketball net, horseshoes, and tennis courts. There are hiking trails, croquet, geocaching and much more but we don’t want to overwhelm you with possibilities!
In addition to these activities, Jeanette has a daily schedule of activities. If you don’t believe me, just ask her. She makes new schedules every week because they are constantly changing. This week Jeanette will be making sock puppets and tambourines before heading out for some frisbee tag. After some exercise the kids can decorate their own cookies for $2 and then go on an afternoon hike. She does painting, arts and crafts, pebble pets, plant holders, and popsicle dragons! There are outdoor water games, scavenger hunts, and games of tag. The thought of getting your children out of the house, away from computers, television, and cell phones is an exciting prospect isn’t it?
Now you are wondering what’s in it for you? Well if watching your children enjoy the finer things in life is not enough, you can arrange to drop them off at the recreation center for a little while so you can have a quiet, romantic meal in our dining room or a beverage or two in the lounge. It’s your free time, you can do whatever you please with it! Enjoy it. You deserve a little break.
Reservations are not required in advance. You can arrange all of this after you arrive here with us for your Nova Scotia family vacation. Jeanette is always around the Lodge so just ask for her or anyone else and they will be able to give you more information. And don’t worry, if you want to play any of the kiddie games, you are more than welcome!
