New Culinary Team at the Riverside Room

This year we’ve hired on a new culinary team and they’ve been working hard to improve the flavor, price, and variety of our menu! So far, so good. Did you know that we cedar plank our salmon everyday outside? The salmon is delicious and what better way to have it served than right off of our planking station?

There is also a new herb garden for the kitchen. We’ve been getting lots of sun therefore our herbs are growing really well. We’re excited to be offering fresh herbs while helping the environment at the same time.

Connie, one of our dedicated staff from the kitchen, makes berry crumble, pies and oatcakes from scratch! They are a sensation here at the lodge. You don’t always get freshly made desserts in Nova Scotia restaurants but you do here! Try the coconut cream pie next time you’re in. It’s to die for :)

We also wanted to start inviting our community to the lodge so we now have weekly specials in Lonecloud Lounge. We have Toonie Tuesdays where if you buy a slice of pizza you can get a beer for a toonie. There will be more specials coming up throughout the season. If you’re stopping by Lonecloud Lounge after your Riverside Room dinner, try our signature specialty coffee, Liscombe. It’s got Crème de Cacao, Amaretto, and Kahlua. Yummmy!

Our recommendations for dining:  Liscombe’s Signature Dish: Planked Atlantic salmon, whisky barbeque ribs, and the old fashioned turkey dinner! Our menu has all the Nova Scotia greats: salmon and Digby scallops! Check out the new menu here.

Happy Dining!
