Early Mornings at Liscombe

Next time you stay here, be sure to wake up early and take a walk along the river, or hop into a kayak, canoe, or paddle boat. You may be in for a big surprise. The one thing more peaceful than spending time at a secluded resort is waking up early at that resort. Brianna, one of our staff, was out one morning and saw seals swimming in the river. Absolutely gorgeous! And it was not the first time. The Liscomb River is very close to the ocean therefore a seal is not uncommon. Don’t worry, they won’t be swimming around during the day with people around trying to attack. They are not the friendliest of creatures but they stay away from humans. Not only will you get a chance to see seals playing in the water, you will have a chance to see much more Nova Scotia wildlife. The birds are chirping, the sun is rising, and nature is at its finest. Liscombe Lodge is one of those places you can go not to get away from it all, but to get near what is important in life.

Happy Travels!
